Short version: write something worth sending, and understand what this is.

What this site does

You choose a real object in the sky, write up to 280 characters, and the moment of sending is recorded. You are given a card that shows how far your message has travelled since.

What it does not do

No radio transmitter is involved, and nothing physical leaves Earth. The journey shown on your card is a true calculation of distance and time at the speed of light — but it describes light that was never sent. Nobody out there will receive your message. That is the honest shape of this project, and it is stated plainly so nobody is misled.

What you may not write

Threats, harassment, or hatred toward anyone.
Someone else's personal details.
Advertising, links, or anything sent by machine rather than by a person.

Messages breaking these rules are removed without notice.

No promises about forever

This is a free project run by one person. It is intended to last, but no guarantee can honestly be given that a link will still open in twenty years. If you want to keep your card, save it.

Your words stay yours

You keep every right to what you write. You allow the site only to store your message and show it to whoever opens your link.
